Mission and Philosophy

Mission Statement

Loved and called by God, we, St. Alphonsus Liguori Parish, come together as an involved, welcoming and caring Catholic community.

Following Jesus and guided by the Holy Spirit we commit ourselves to prayer, service and living our faith.  Enriched by the Word and Sacrament, we minister to the spiritual, educational and human needs of our families, parishioners and neighbors.

Responding to the Gospel call "to make disciples of all nations...teaching them to observe all that I have commended,"  St. Alphonsus Liguori Church has established its parish school.

The mission of St. Alphonsus Liguori School is to provide an excellent Catholic education that will prepare our students academically, spiritually, socially and physically for a happy, successful, and faith-filled future in an increasingly diverse world.

Philosophy

It is our belief that each child is a unique creation of God. The school staff, parents, and parish community will work in partnership to provide a high quality, value based Catholic education. In an atmosphere of love and care, each student will reach his or her maximum potential – spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically. This education will instill a lifelong commitment toward service both in and outside of the Catholic community. Each student will be prepared to live a life based on Christian values and service to the church and the community.

In every grade we nurture the growth and development of our students. We endeavor to meet the individual needs of each child and place a high priority on accommodating students with special needs. St. Alphonsus Liguori School recognizes the important relationship between school and family life and provides many opportunities to join the two and create a dynamic learning environment.
