The morning announcements are written, recorded, produced, and edited by our eighth-grade students. Students are responsible for planning the content of each episode and collaborating to ensure the best product is produced. On days when the eighth-grade students are unavailable for the announcements, the seventh-grade students take over production. 

The creation of the morning announcements is an optional activity for students but provides a fun opportunity for students to gain academic skills outside of the classroom. Writing, editing, collaboration, technology skills, and time management are just a few of the important skills gained by participating in the creation of announcements.

Those regularly involved in the announcements constantly look to involve the entire school community by including other students in reading the prayer or pledge. Students in other grades are included in interviews or may be featured in short clips from their school activities.
